This original color lithograph was created by Raoul Dufy for his friend Jean-Louis Barrault in anticipation of a U.S. theatrical tour potentially in 1954, but it was not printed until 1956. His dear friend Barrault, the great theater actor, decided to publish it anyway, as tribute after the death of Raoul Dufy in 1953. The subject is very lyrical and classical.
