German born Celia Rogge has been living and working in New York since the 1990s. Over the past 10 years Rogge has built up a strong international reputation as a photographer.Inspired by the notion of discovery through reflection, focusing on finding beauty within the details. Since studying at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in Manhattan, the London School of Economics, and Georgetown University’s school of Foreign Service, Rogge has exhibited her work in some of German’s most prominent galleries such as Galerie Friedmann Hahn and Veronica Pohle, as well as holds a spot in numerous collections around the world. Rogge applies a personal and inquisitive lens to every day life creating enigmatic material that transports her viewers into her captured space.
