Classic Poster Paper - Perfect Condition A+

Color lithographic poster printed in six colors for an exhibition of the Atelier Mourlot collection in Tokyo at the Art Museum of the Seibu Department Stores in 1984. The image was reproduced by Henri Deschamps from the 1952 lithograph "Affiches Mourlot - Galerie Kleber" by Henri Matisse which was also printed at Mourlot.

Matisse once said, "The paper cutout allows me to draw in the color. Instead of drawing the outline and putting the color inside it, I draw straight into the color." The hues he used were so strong that his doctors advised him to wear dark glasses because they could affect his vision.
