This original lithographic poster was created after a painting by well known French artist Bernard Buffet, it was printed by Mourlot in Paris in 1976. This beautiful image features the piercing silhouette of the iconic Château de Val in Lanobre, France.
French artists Bernard Buffet (1928-199) was world renowned for his paintings. His style was that of an expressionist and he was involved with the anti-abstract art group known as the L'Homme Témoin. The Parisian studied art at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts. Bernard Buffet was named "Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur" in 1973.
