Classic Poster Paper - Good Condition A
This colorful lithographic poster was designed to promote a posthumous show of Raoul Dufy's paintings at the Galerie des Ponchettes, a municipal exhibition space in Nice in 1958. Dufy had spent a lot of time in the South of France, where the light had influence his work and the weather had been soothing to his rheumatoid arthritis. This poster depicting a typical building in the section of the old town of that city, was reproduced by Mourlot Master Printer Henri Deschamps who had worked closely with Dufy for many years.
