This colorful lithographic poster was designed to promote an exhibition of Pablo Picasso's paintings at the Maison de la Pensée Francaise in 1954. The two period are very similar in the themes explored by the artist: The theme of children, and the theme of the young woman. In this case the original painting that was reproduced is "Jeux de Pages", an oil on paper from 1951 (Zervos cat. 15 #184) It was reproduced by Henri Deschamps, as per usual, Pablo Picasso supervised and approved the final proof.

La Maison de la Pensée Francaise, in English: the "House of French Thinking", was an organization created in 1945 and functioning until 2006 that was attached to the ministry of foreign affairs and was a privileged partner in the network that diffused French culture around the world.
