This dynamic and richly colored lithographic poster commemorates the exhibition "Picasso et la Tauromachie" (Picasso and the Bullfighting) which ran at the Musée d'Art Moderne in Ceret, int he foothills of the Pyrénées mountains, between April and August 1982. Bullfighting is a predominant theme in Picasso's work. He conceptualized himself as the bull: Powerful, masculine and unpredictable, and often watched bullfights in the South of France.
