GALERIE MOURLOT

IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE:

“CURRENTS”

KEVIN CHRISTOPHER MCCULLOUGH

DECEMBER 7TH 2023 until JANUARY 5TH 2024

Kevin Christopher McCullough was born 1987 in Ridgewood NJ. He is a multi-disciplinary artist. Kevin graduated from The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts with a certificate degree in print making. CURRENTS is Kevin's first solo exhibition in New York. He currently works and lives in NYC.

Inspired by Zen, cosmology, and the pre-verbal cave paintings of the Paleolithic period; Kevin Christopher McCullough's solo exhibition, CURRENTS, is a symbolic meditation on drawing. With a range of tools, marks, and movements, Kevin creates a family of forms that echo the body- leaving behind traces of hand, palm, and finger prints. This also allows his drawings to appear birn out of a natural process. In this exhibition Kevin strives to achieve a subtle sense of "jamais vu". This is when an experience is recognizable to you, but may feel different or completely unreal in some way.
