This lithographic poster was created for an exhibition at Galerie Dina Vierny in 1982. The artwork reproduced in this poster is Vase de Fleurs, which he drew in June of 1944. 

Matisse's distinctive style of line drawing not only focused on the figure but also on plants and still lifes. He preferred to use quick, gestural movements to capture the feeling an object would evoke him.
