This poster was created to promote "Le Bistrot de Paris", opened by famed chef Michel Oliver in 1965 at 33 rue de Lille, Paris 75007. The festive image reminds the viewer that the bistro was open "even at midnight", therefore it is no surprise that J.M. Fonteneau was chosen to illustrate it. This artist having created some of the cabarets' most iconic posters, including the one for the play "La Cage aux Folles" (The birdcage).

Le Bistrot de Paris is still open and serves amazing food just as the Oliver family had been offering for decades, including Raymond Oliver while he was the chef at Le Grand Véfour. Ed. 1000.
